Executive Director - Cisco Globalisation Office & S+CC

Angshik Chaudhuri is currently the Executive Director Operations Cisco Globalisation Office & Smart+Connected Communities (S+CC). In this role, he is responsible for strategy, planning & operations, for it’s globalisation efforts, and works with various business functions to implement and accelerate Cisco’s globalisation strategy. Prior to this he was the overall leader for partner management. This entailed management of all partner relationships and optimising sourcing delivery to further improve productivity on outsourced services. The outsourced services spend managed was about $ 1 Billion and Angshik ran a geographically disparate global team managing this complex operation. Angshik joined Cisco in January 2008 as Director Operations.


Before joining 

Cisco, Angshik served at Prudential as Director, Business Solutions in Mumbai and London, where he was leading all Business Services for Prudential comprising of Business Consulting, Human Resources, Quality, & Information Technology. Whilst at London Angshik served in the capacity of Executive Assistant to the Chief Executive of Prudential Plc. He also served on the Prudential Executive Committee on all co-location and offshoring of business processes to India.


Prior to Prudential, Angshik spent a year with Phoenix Life Assurance Company as General Manager and COO, where he set up and headed the operations of the company’s offshoring entity.


Angshik spent five years at GE Capital in several roles including being the Assistant Vice President – Transitions where he was responsible for leading the transition of business processes for the various companies under GE to GE Capital India. During his stint at GE Capital, Angshik led the operations of the Health Insurance Centre of Excellence, at GE Capital Hyderabad. He also shared responsibility for creation of a complete transition infrastructure and migration toolkit design, which is now an industry standard.

Angshik started his career as an Assistant Manager at The Oberoi Group of Hotels in New Delhi at the group’s Facility Planning Division.


Chaudhuri holds a graduate degree in Economics and holds a Post Graduate Degree in Business Management. Angshik was the youngest executive nominated to the prestigious “Business Today” list of top 25 executives under 40 in 2008. He was also featured in the “Frontrunners” edition of Business India in 2006.


Angshik speaks frequently at various premier business schools in India and loves reading biographies. Angshik is also an ardent writer who infrequently blogs and tweets on maverick topics.
