Anshoo Gaur, President and Head of Amdocs India, a member of AmdocsManagement since 2007. Winner of the CXO Award 2010 as the Best Business head of the year. Anshoo has over 20 years of cross cultural leadership experience, playing a wide variety of roles on strategic IT planning, operations management, process reengineering, product management and development, customer and P&L management. Anshoo joined Amdocs in August 2007 and is responsible to help drive Amdocs’ India delivery and business growth. Amdocs India represents over 20% of the company’s global workforce and operations, transcending Implementation, Consulting, R&D and Managed Services for Communication and Media/Entertainment industry.
Prior to joining Amdocs, at EDS/MphasiS, Anshoo was on the Executive team as the President of IT infrastructure Management. In this role, Anshoo was responsible for sales, marketing and delivery of IT infrastructure services. Ashoo helped establish and rapidly grow the remote and domestic IT infrastructure Management capability to a $160 million business over a 10 month period.
Before EDS’ MphasiS acquisition, Anshoo served as Managing Director, EDS India Enterprise. Ashoo took ownership of India operations in 2005 relocating from EDS’ headquarters in Plano, TX. In this role, Anshoo ensured that EDS met its Best Shore growth objectives of doubling India delivery headcount to 5600 resources across the lies of business (Applications, BPO, and IT Infrastructure Management) over an 18 month period. I addition to expanding the customer delivery capabilities, EDS shared services operations in HR and F&A were established as a part of the expansion.
Before relocating to India, with EDS in the US, Anshoo was the Global Delivery Transformation Director for Workplace/Desktop Services and was instrumental in transforming delivery of Desktop Services to EDS clients utilizing the Agile platform. The Workplace Services transformation program was the most successful transformation program, helping move the Service line to profitability and meeting customer’ innovation expectations.
Anshoo transitioned to EDS from Sabre Inc in July 2001 where he was the Director for Strateic Systems Planning, helping manage the selection, definition and deployment of service delivery platforms. His tenure at Sabre, included leadership roles ranging from managing three of the most profitable application portfolios, to helping establish Sabre’s Industrial Engineering and Operations consulting practice.
Prior to moving to the US for his Masters degree, Anshoo worked in India as a Production Engineer at Larsen & Turbo Ltd in India for three years and earlier to that as Marketing Manager at Pertech Computers Ltd in India.
Anshoo holds a Masters degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona, Tucson and a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Surathkal, India.
