Atul Samalia is a Vice President at Capgemini India and is responsible for the global “Captives” initiative working across all business units. 

Prior to Capgemini, Atul was the Managing Director of Bayer Business Services’ global IT captive centre in Mumbai. He was instrumental in successfully building and scaling this centre. Before that, he was the CIO of Ciba Geigy in India. 

Atul has over 25 years of IT experience, having lived and worked in UK, Switzerland and India. His experience includes application and technology development that spans multiple industry segments and diverse technology areas. He has a lot of experience in setting up captives and leading captive excellence/transformation programs. 

Atul holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad.
