Nitin is responsible for managing all day-to-day operations of the India entity of Allscripts. He joined the company in early 2007, when he set up the Pune office for the erstwhile Eclipsys Corporation, which merged into Allscripts in 2010. He has helped the company grow the operations from about 100 to over 1900 in a little over 5 years.

 

Nitin came to Allscripts from BMC Software, an enterprise management software provider, where he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company’s operations in India. In this role, he was responsible for planning the long-term growth of the center, research and development, support and operations teams in Finance and Accounts, Facilities, Human Resources, Marketing, and Information Technology Support. During his stay at BMC, Nitin grew the organization from 200 to approximately 900 employees in three years.

 

Prior to BMC, Nitin managed all the strategic business units and delivery support functions at Geometric Ltd., a provider of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Product Development Management (PDM) services and solutions. As the Chief Operating Officer at Geometric, he successfully demonstrated his ability to control costs in a tough economic situation as he delivered consistent improvement in profitability figures each quarter during his tenure there.

 

Nitin also worked at Satyam Computer Services Ltd., a leading global consulting and IT services company, where he began as a leader of the SAP implementation practice in Pune, and went on to run the Pune software development unit.

 

In a career spanning over 30 years, Nitin had a 12 year entrepreneurial stint that included founding companies in India and Canada, with clientele across North America. While one of these companies had a product in the Manufacturing Scheduling domain, the others provided off-shore services for various manufacturing clients.

 

Nitin received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IITB), and a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA).

 

He has been a Chairman of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce, Pune Branch and also a Chairman of Software Exporters’ Association of Pune. He is the founder Chairman of Mood Indigo Foundation, an NGO founded by his IITB classmates from Pune, doing work in the field of education for under-privileged children. He is a Charter Member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) Pune Chapter.
