Richard Liu is the Regional IP Director, Asia Pacific, for Yahoo, Inc.  He has joined Yahoo! since mid-2007, and is stationed in Yahoo! Hong Kong office.  He counsels with management of Yahoo! international operations on IP matters, develops strategies and processes for IP asset generation and use, translates IP assets into business values to meet Yahoo! international needs, and manages regional IP disputes and agreements.  Mr. Liu was previously a patent counsel for Apple, Inc. (1994-2007), patent attorney for Ampex, Inc. (91-94), and a senior missile system engineer for Lockheed Missiles & Space (82-91).  He is admitted to practice in California.
