Tarun Sharma is the VP of R&D for BMC Software. BMC is the eighth largest software company in the world and recognized as a leader in Business Services Management.

Prior to BMC, Tarun worked for Virtusa, a global enterprise software services company. Tarun was a Sr. Vice President at Virtusa leading the BFSI technology group.

Tarun co-founded a company in 1996 called EC Cubed that provided B2B eCommerce solutions to large enterprises. The company raised close to $55 million in venture capital and successfully launched several products in the B2B markets. 

Prior to EC Cubed, Tarun worked for various product and consulting firms in India such as C-DAC, NIIT and Techlead software. Tarun has co- authored two books, Programming Web Components and Enterprise E-Commerce, a best seller adopted by several international management institutes.
